Free In-Flight Internet

Royal Air Maroc Plans Free Onboard Internet For Members Beginning In 2027

Royal Air Maroc is bringing onboard internet to passengers who currently fly without it, using free Starlink access for Safar Flyer members so they can browse, stream, and work in the air. Installation starts in early 2027, and the Casablanca-based airline plans to equip 41 aircraft with the satellite Wi-Fi.

Starlink is built for fast broadband with low lag, so the connection is designed to handle live video and everyday productivity rather than the stop-start experience many flyers expect. Royal Air Maroc's plan covers a large share of its roughly 70-plane fleet, turning connectivity into a cabin feature instead of a small test.

Because Royal Air Maroc does not currently offer Wi-Fi, adding Starlink changes the onboard offer in a single step rather than upgrading an existing system. The project also puts the carrier ahead of other African airlines on this specific service, since none had officially committed to Starlink at the time of the plan.
