SWISS Brings Starlink Internet to Its Aircraft

SWISS is expanding satellite-connected flights with Starlink-powered high-speed internet designed to provide reliable connectivity from gate to gate. The service debuted aboard an Airbus A320neo on September 28, allowing passengers to message, share photos, and access online services throughout their journey. Connectivity is free for Miles & More members and Travel ID users across all travel classes. Three Airbus A320-family aircraft will initially receive the technology before SWISS gradually equips its entire fleet by the end of 2029.

Offering faster connectivity can help SWISS make digital access a more consistent part of the passenger experience rather than a premium add-on. Complimentary access may encourage more travelers to join its loyalty and Travel ID programs, strengthening direct customer relationships. The fleet-wide rollout can also help SWISS remain competitive as reliable inflight internet becomes an increasingly important airline amenity.

Loyalty-linked Internet
Complimentary access tied to member accounts turns inflight connectivity into a data-rich relationship channel that can strengthen personalization and direct customer engagement.
Fleet-wide Broadband
Large-scale aircraft connectivity rollouts signal a shift toward internet access as core cabin infrastructure rather than an optional passenger amenity.
