Save the Children's 'Forced to Flee' Brings Real Stories to Life

Save the Children recently held an event called 'Forced to Flee' for its supporters, which was designed to share the stories of real children who are affected by conflict and violence.

When entering the space, people were given a child's backpack and a headset, through which to hear a real tale of a child's search for safety. Throughout the immersive experience, people were led through dishevelled classrooms and chalkboards riddled with gunshots. At the end of the space, there was an uplifting play area, which was representative of the work that Save the Children does in order to bring play to children who live in areas of conflict.

This experience served as a powerful way for people to put themselves in the shoes of a young child in need of aid.
