Taco Bell's Latest Food Hybrid is a Whole New Take on a Classic Dish
David Ingram — September 7, 2015 — Lifestyle
In a mystifying food hybrid mixture of Southern-fried and south of the border, fast food restaurant giant Taco Bell has begun selling a crispy chicken shell taco.
Calling it the 'Naked Chicken Taco,' this new dish replaces a corn tortilla with crispy fried chicken filled with shredded cheese, lettuce, and a tomato topped with an avocado ranch sauce. It certainly sounds interesting, but hungry consumers should know that this brand new piece of fast food fare has so far only been spotted at two restaurants in Southern California.
This isn't the first time a fast food hybrid has emerged that played with the idea of a fried chicken-based food. KFC also made headlines when it released the 'Double Down,' which substituted the bread in a bacon and cheese sandwich with two fried chicken filets.
