Cheese-Inspired Illuminators

The Fondue Lamp Gets Its Shape and Name from Fondue Pots

It’s perfectly reasonable to start feeling hungry after checking out the Fondue lamp. Designer Luca Nichetto’s lamp is inspired by a fondue pot, in case you didn’t know, and was created for the Swedish firm David Design. In addition to its unique name and inspiration, the lamp is also notable for leaving its metal component, power cable and bulb in plain sight.

One great feature about the Fondue lamp is that it can be plugged in from the top or bottom, thus making life easier for those who find themselves constantly short of space. The Fondue lamp comes in a variety of colors (both the lamp itself and the metal components), although there’s no word as of yet regarding pricing and availability.
