The Dutch design firm 'Studio Truly Truly' is using flexible LED lights to create whimsical looped lamps. Although the idea of a light without a lampshade may sound unusual, these modern light fixtures are so interesting that you'll never want to cover them up.

The Levity range by Studio Truly Truly features a number of floor and pendant lamps, each of which features LED lights wrapped in a woven textile casing. Light radiates through this woven membrane in order to project a soft and familiar glow. The flexible LED lights are also designed for movement, meaning users can contort and transform the shape of each loop. As the designers explain, "Feelings of both lightness and gravity are triggered by the loop's gentle form."
