Zilong Nan, a student at Monash University, reveals a flexible courtyard apartment typology as part of the Monash Art, Design, And Architecture Student Exhibition. The project is called 'Courtyard Apartments in Claymore' and it presents "an alternative medium-density dwelling model" that accommodates the existing natural environment of Claymore, NSW. According to Nan, their concept "allows for flexible siting arrangements, working around the existing vegetation that was deliberately retained, while creating new edges to the street, within the courtyard, and between buildings."
