'Escape My House' Stresses the Importance of Having a Fire Escape Plan

In order to stress the importance of having a fire escape plan in case of an emergency, the New Zealand Fire Service teamed up with FCB New Zealand to create a 360-degree experience called 'Escape My House.'

Although the experience can be had online without using Google Cardboard, it is optimized for immersive viewing. In Escape My House, the simulator challenges people to think quickly and respond to obstacles such as jammed windows and doors that need keys to be unlocked, all the while avoiding the blaze of a growing fire.

Before starting the simulator, users are able to enter their address, which will result in a visual of their residence in flames following the experience. As such, the Escape My House experience recommends using the real-life Escape Planner Tool to organize a fire escape strategy that could be potentially life-saving.
