The Carlsberg Green Fiber Bottle Does Away with Glass and Metal

Aiming to make waves in the industry and offer an alternative product packaging design, the Carlsberg Green Fiber Bottle is crafted as a sustainable option for the beer brand. The bottle design is the result of a partnership between Carlsberg and packaging company EcoXpac, and uses sustainable wood fiber to be created.

Beer packaging is traditionally made from glass or aluminum in order to help maintain freshness and taste. This new bottle approach, however, identifies a growing shift towards more sustainable methods in order to keep up with environmental needs and consumer preferences for sustainability.

The Carlsberg Green Fiber Bottle is currently in the prototype phase and is scheduled to be tested in the market starting in 2018.
