This Feminine Hygiene Ad Wants You to Stop Beating Around the Bush

Feminine hygiene brand Carefree wants to have a frank discussion about vaginas.

In a new commercial for Australian consumers, the brand makes fun of the discomfort surrounding the word. Even after Eve Ensler's genius episodic play 'The Vagina Monologues,' there are still plenty of women who will only say the word in hushed tones under their breath. So, what's a girl to do? Enter "Fanny Glitterwinkle," the star of this commercial, armed with a plethora of alternate names for your hoo-ha. These include, but are not limited to, Her Vagesty, Hairy Godmother, Glitter Cave, Hot pocket and Whisker Biscuit.

Obviously, a grown woman referring to a part of her anatomy as a "hot pocket" is totally and completely absurd. The ad hopes to create more comfort and awareness about vaginas, starting with the word itself.
