Destigmatizing Period Comical Kits

ModiBodi and Justyna Green Relaunch the First Period Kit

Modibodi works together with Justyna Green to relaunch the First Period Kit. It is comprised of a comic that is catered to young teenage girls and captures the experience of getting the first period. It comes with a sticker kit also designed by Green with products by Modibodi. This includes a waterproof bag, two pairs of Black Hipster Bikinis, and a handheld mirror to explore the body.

The comic follows the story of friends Rosie and Roya, who hop on the school bus when Riya gets her first period. Green wanted to depict this experience in an "honest and warm way." Green explains, "It's important to break the taboo around female anatomy so that people with vulvas, vaginas, clitorises, uteruses, labias majoras and minoras can confidently describe their body parts, understand them better and in turn communicate their needs better too. And for everybody regardless of their sex, to be able to say 'vulva' without looking away or blushing."
