Brixmor Property Group expanded its partnership with EVgo to add more than 500 new fast-charging stalls across its open-air shopping centers. Once deployment is complete, at least 90 Brixmor properties, representing more than a quarter of its portfolio, will offer EVgo fast chargers.
The new sites will feature up to 12 high-power chargers and include properties in Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas. Deployment is expected to begin later in 2026, with Barn Plaza in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, planned as the first location under the expanded agreement. EVgo will add the sites to its public fast-charging network.
For shoppers, the rollout adds convenient charging opportunities during grocery, dining and retail visits. The expansion reflects growing investment by shopping center operators in EV infrastructure as an amenity that supports changing transportation habits and enhances destination convenience.
