Special Edition CR Runway 'Fashion Unites' Streamed on YouTube

To kick off the start of a new month, a new edition of CR Runway— the special fashion show run by Carine Roitfeld—was streamed on YouTube featuring some of the biggest names in the fashion and modeling industry. With retail store closures and people lacking the necessity to buy new outfits, the fashion industry has taken a hit. In the coming months, the way both retailers and runway shows operate can be expected to look a little different, as many Fashion Week events around the world are already going totally digital.

Fashion Unites was hosted by Derek Blasberg, head of fashion and beauty for YouTube, and funds were raised for the amfAR Fund to Fight COVID-19. The first-of-its-kind fashion show featured familiar faces like Karlie Kloss, Winnie Harlow and more, signaling a shift in the way people consume fashion.
