Vibrant Family Activity Centers

The Family Lab at the Groninger Museum is Designed for Events

The Family Lab at the Groninger Museum is a stunning and bright space designed to facilitate a variety of hands-on learning activities for people of all ages. The municipal museum in the city of Groninger in the Netherlands, the institution commissioned the expansion as space for museum guests to play and be creative at the end of the visit.

Designed by Spanish designer Jamie Hayon, the extension to the Groninger Museum's Information Center makes use of Pantone's two colors of the year for 2016, Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue. A great example of the Spanish designer's vision, the Family Lab takes on graphic and minimalist motifs in a hyper-stylized manner, including custom-designed marble floors laid in a mesmerizing geometric design.
