As Millennials and Gen Z take up increasingly large percentages of the content-consuming population, production companies are looking to respond, and NGL Studios has taken a shot at providing content tailored to those demographics with the announcement of its new platform, 'EOP Comedy: With Liberty and Comedy for All'. The project is a comedy video platform specifically targeted toward multicultural millennials and Gen Zers. In fact, EOP stands for "Equal Opportunity."
According to numbers provided by NGL Studio's CEO, 48 percent of Gen Z and 43 percent of Millennials identify as multicultural. This leaves space for content producers to put forward series and videos speaking to the unique experience of multiculturalism.
EOP Comedy will take the form of an online video platform as well as an app — another way in which the platform recognizes the specificities of the market it's looking to serve.
