Chip-Enabled Contactless Payments

Jimmy John Incorporates Worldpay and Verifone's 'Engage P400'

Sandwich company Jimmy John implements a new program with the help of Verifone and Worldpay to make the payment process more seamless than before -- the 'Engage P400' device is engineered specifically for seamless consumer purchase interaction. Traditionally, contactless payments run on a "near-field" connectivity, where users tap their device to a POS. Worldpay joins forces with Verifone to create the Engage P400 and it is essentially a contactless method enabled with a chip -- ensured by Verifone that is it the most "advanced pin pad on the market."

The Engage P400 system has touchscreen sensibilities, multiple payment acceptance types, and ample memory, with personalized experiences delivered using Bluetooth LE and Beacon activation. For added security elements, the device is PCI PTS 5.x approved.
