The Elopak Pure-Pak eSense Has No Aluminum Layer

Beverage carton packaging is often characterized by a multi-material composition that is slightly more difficult to recycle than mono-material alternatives, so the Elopak Pure-Pak eSense has been unveiled as a new option. The beverage carton has had the aluminum layer on the interior removed to help make it highly recyclable and reduce its carbon footprint by 28%. The carton still maintains an aseptic profile that is in line with industry standards and protocols.

Director of Sustainability Marianna Groven spoke on the new Elopak Pure-Pak eSense saying, "Life Cycle Assessments have demonstrated that beverage cartons already have strong environmental credentials when compared to alternatives such as plastic bottles. They also play an important role in keeping products safe and minimizing food waste, which is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. The addition of the Pure-Pak eSense carton to our offering is important because it means our customers in the aseptic segment will also be able to select an aluminum-free option."
