An elongated barn design makes a lasting impression in Suffolk, England. Conceived by Studio Bark in collaboration with Structure Workshop, the off-grid home features a gabled silhouette with a tapered roofline and two floors.
The dark structure has appropriately been named 'Black Barn.' Its appearance references contemporary approaches in architecture, while certain features openly interpret the region-specific version of the agricultural structure.
Studio Bark and Structure Workshop work extensively to ensure that the elongated barn also has an eco-conscious demeanor. As a result, the entire residence is powered by solar and bio-diesel. While this ensures that the structure has minimal environmental impact, the minimalist and dark exterior of the elongated barn ensures that the house ties in seamlessly with its surroundings.
