Long-Range Electric Sportbacks

Mitsubishi Combines 282-Mile Range with NACS Fast Charging

Mitsubishi is expanding long-range electric sportbacks with the 2027 Eclipse Sportback, an all-new battery EV launching in the U.S. in October. Starting at $37,745, the vehicle offers up to 282 miles of range from a 75-kWh lithium-ion battery. It supports Level 1 and Level 2 charging through SAE J1772, alongside Level 3 fast charging through Tesla’s NACS format. Buyers can also add a $2,600 Technology Package.

The Eclipse Sportback represents the first all-new vehicle introduced under Mitsubishi’s Momentum 2030 plan, which calls for a new or completely refreshed model every year through fiscal 2030. Competitive pricing, extended warranty coverage and flexible charging access could help Mitsubishi reach consumers considering their first EV. The launch also supports a broader product strategy spanning gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
