NASA's X-57 Aircraft Reduces Carbon Emissions With Electric Propulsion

NASA is experimenting with electric aeroplane designs, as a way to offer a cleaner and more eco-friendly way to travel across the globe without adding a copious amount of harmful pollutants into the atmosphere. Rather than operating using fossil fuels, the X-57 airplane would utilize electric propulsion to power the ship to travel great distances.

Eco transportation is a top priority to many brands aiming to reduce costs on expensive fuel and simultaneously its carbon footprint. NASA's X-57 airplane functions by evenly spacing out the electric propulsion power source throughout the craft's two wings. The aircraft will also be designed to fly at lower altitudes as another way to reduce pollution. Other benefits to the vehicle include lower flight times, noise and maintenance fees.
