Obtrusive Bird Advertisements

El Comercio Shows How Distracting Twitter Can Be on the Road

The Diario El Comercio definitely wants people to read the news it puts out, but not at the same time as other tasks that will put your life in danger.

The three part ads for El Comercio by La Facultad are engulfed in the color blue, showing a stop sign, a traffic light and cycling road sign that are barely visible, because they are being blocked out by a blue bird that's getting in the way. The Twitter bird is in sharp focus too, with whatever else is in the background sort of hazy.

The ads implore people not to read the news from the El Comercio Twitter account and drive at the same time, since as these ads demonstrate, that ever-tweeting blue bird can be quite the distraction on the road.
