For this year's UEFA Euro 2016 championship, vacation rental marketplace HomeAway created the first-ever Eiffel Tower apartment. The interior suite that sits 187 feet off of the ground is actually a conference room inside of the Eiffel Tower that was transformed into a cozy abode by French interior designer Benoît Leleu in less than 48 hours. The soccer-themed space features two spacious bedrooms, a lounge area, an urban greenhouse and incredible views of the surrounding Paris landscape with floor-to-ceiling windows.
As part of a contest for the European championship, HomeAway is offering up this apartment space to a few lucky fans for the sporting event.
With many consumers looking for experiential tourism experiences, unconventional accommodations like these are being created to promote everything from products and brands to events and movies.
