Twiice makes plant-based, edible coffee cups as a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic cups. As well as helping to reduce waste, the cups enhance the experience of enjoying a hot beverage with their vanilla flavor. The cups are made in small batches with real ingredients and without any kind of artificial ingredients, preservatives or additives. According to Twiice, the "cup is leakproof and will stay crisp at least as long as it takes to drink your coffee, and longer."
In partnership with Twiice, Air New Zealand is testing the edible coffee cups, which has the potential to reduce plenty of single-use cups as Air New Zealand customer experience manager Niki Chave reports that the airline serves about eight million cups of coffee onboard annually.
