At first glance, you might not believe that the Edgar Eduard Emma Herbst art series was actually created using thread. Stunningly intricate, they look like color pencil lines, yet that is what is so fascinating about her work.

Created by Nike Schroder, the Edgar Eduard Emma Herbst art series was done in homage to one of her close friends. The artist describes that the treading medium plays with "the adaption of the chaotic way the thread develops painting like qualities very adequate to his personal character."

To show you her other stunning works of art, I’ve included Schroder’s other thread projects in addition to the Edgar Eduard Emma Herbst series. Each one demonstrates her talent and skill with this unique art form.
