DUO-HUE by Amelia Ayerst combines craft and technology to create beautiful embroidered designs. The uniquely designed embroidery stitch was developed at the Royal College of Art. Its multilayered stitch combines complementary colors and varying stitch densities to create a color-morphing textile effect.
The color illusion textiles make up DUO-Hue's collection of cushions in various designs, shapes, and sizes. In addition, consumers can make their own color grids and patterns using available textile floating frames for completing unique home decor elements. One-of-a-kind wall hanging pieces are also available from this collection, as well as a cube-shaped embroidered footstool.
Amelia Ayerst explains that she has "always been fascinated with color." and "Whilst studying at RCA, [she] was focused on the nature of color and how to create color illusions through [her] work."
