Join and Mending are New Fabrics from Designtex and nanimarquina

Join and Mending are two new textile designs developed through a multi-year collaboration between Designtex and nanimarquina for high-performance contract environments. Join is defined by offset stripe rhythms, using slight irregularity and textured yarn to create movement across a structured repeat. Mending uses a soft grid and patch-like motif that references visible repair, with intentional variation embedded in the weave rather than printed on the surface.

Both of the new textiles are carefully engineered for durability while retaining the tactile character associated with craft-driven surface design. The collaboration combines nanimarquina’s material sensibility with Designtex’s performance construction methods, aligning the collection for use across commercial interiors where wear resistance and maintenance matter. Color palettes stay restrained and grounded, with pattern scale designed to read clearly across large upholstered surfaces and architectural applications.
