l’Opificio Presents Its New Collections in Milan

l’Opificio, a textile company specializing in furnishing fabrics, will present three new collections — INCISA, SIGNUM, and FIORA — alongside a restyling of its Velvet Icons collections VELLUTO DI SETA and VELLUTO DI COTON, at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026.

The INCISA, SIGNUM, and FIORA were designed by Chiara Andreatti. INCISA draws inspiration from natural textures such as bark and marble. It features irregular slanted marks that create depth and visual movement. SIGNUM, on the other hand, employs graphic, archetypal forms reminiscent of primordial script with doubled, misaligned shapes that generate chromatic vibration. Finally, FIORA offers a poetic floral pattern derived from oil pastel gestures that produces a diffused, atmospheric luminosity. All three collections are produced using the lampas weaving technique in blends of linen and viscose, cotton and viscose, and cotton chenille.
