Somewhere between nutritional and delicious lies 'Eat Balanced' pizzas, a rendition of the classic Italian cuisine that boasts more healthful ingredients.
Created by Mike Lean and Donnie MacLean, these pies claim to keep the classic taste of this guilty pleasure without compromising one's goal to eat healthfully. Switching up salt in the dough with seaweed and integrating more fibre into the pizzas, these could offer customers the promise of cheesy goodness with far less shame. The company, which is planning to expand, currently sells three different flavors of pizzas, and is considering branching out to other less-than-healthy food favorites.
Though the idea is sure to set off some skepticism in consumers, this is a valiant effort to bring more nutritional value to classic cuisine.
