This dyslexia awareness campaign finds an alternative use for an Internet security tactic. The Decoding Dyslexia campaign comes from the Jaslok Hospital in collaboration with Dentsu Webchutney Innovation Lab. The Indian hospital hopes to educate the public on the learning disability so that struggling students are not accused of laziness or lacking intelligence by teachers or parents. The initiative turns the work of dyslexic pupils into online captchas.
Adults had to complete the captcha, but 95% needed to refresh the page to receive a new one because they were unable to do so. The successful dyslexia awareness campaign also included a message with links to learn more about the disorder.
