Stuttering Awareness Initiatives

The Canadian Stuttering Association & john st. Launch a Campaign

The Canadian Stuttering Association, alongside advertising agency john st., has launched Stutter.ca — an awareness initiative aimed at reshaping perceptions of stuttering. With this campaign, The Canadian Stuttering Association has introduced a unique web experience featuring 410,000 personalized URLs that each simulate a different stuttering pattern. Through this, the initiative draws attention to the diversity of experiences within the stuttering community. These URLs redirect to the Canadian Stuttering Association's main site, creating a visually and interactively compelling platform that underscores the individuality of each voice affected by stuttering.

The campaign, announced on International Stuttering Awareness Day, emphasizes that no two individuals stutter the same way and seeks to foster understanding, patience, and empathy. The initiative is supported by Alexandra D'Agostino, CSA’s Family and Youth Programming Coordinator, who shares her own experience with stuttering.
