The New Durex Commercial Shows the Harsh Pains of Fatherhood

The newest Durex commercial, aptly titled 'Protect Yourself,' takes a look at some of the physical pain that one could look forward to as a father. The cleverly created ad is a hilarious way to both increase brand awareness and create more brand advocates.

When an ingenious commercial comes on in the midst of many of the mundane commercials frequenting television these days, it has a truly powerful impact. This Durex commercial is definitely one of the influential ones both literally and figuratively. Depicting fathers dealing with the hardships of being a parent is both hilarious and thought-provoking as it will definitely remind men and women out there of the consequences of choosing not to use protection. The slow-motion effect combined with the iconic 'Moonlight Sonata' from Beethoven adds a dramatic feeling to the ad that really hits home.
