The Dunk Light is made for jock types, especially basketball aficionados. Modeled after an actual basketball hoop, it brings a chic sports element into homes. Perfect for bachelor pads, the Dunk Light is not to be dunked upon, no matter what its name suggests.
Designed by Karl Zahn, a freelance product designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York, the Dunk Light is made using a cool white circline fluorescent bulb. The Future Perfect observes that the Dunk Light is "a blend between the incredible functionality of a basketball hoop and the ironic fragility of a light bulb." Thus, a tension is born. People will have the urge to dunk on the Dunk Light, but its design will not allow it.
