Giving an iconic design a revitalizing modern touch, the new collection of Drop chairs by furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen gives these tear-shaped chairs a contemporary new look.
The retro and popular Drop chairs used to be big in the 1950s and 60s and they are making a comeback once again via Milan Design Week 2014. Originally created as part of a design theme for the interior of the Radisson Scandinavian Airlines System Hotel in Copenhagen, the Drop chair, alongside the Swan and Egg chairs in the 1950s, complement the designer's design haven.
The updated version of these funky chairs comes (in plastic) in black, white, blue, gray, red and yellow; it is also available in textile or leather upholstery.
