Drive-thrus have been reinvigorated as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the need for contactless experiences and Restaurant Brands International is modernizing the drive-thru menus at thousands of Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes locations. The fast food experiences are being elevated with digital screens with predictive selling technology, plus integrated restaurant loyalty programs and support for contactless payment systems.
Thanks to predictive selling, the new digital drive-thru menu boards will allow special promotions to be shared based on previous orders, regional weather patterns, the time of day and other factors. Created by RBI's in-house Guest Intelligence team, the predictive selling technology learns ordering habits and makes it possible for restaurants to show the most popular menu items based on a specific location.
