Lord Alan Sugar Invests £250,000 into Vegan Dough Bakehouse Café

British entrepreneur Lord Alan Sugar, known for winning the 2019 season of 'The Apprentice,' recently announced a £250,000 into a new bakery called Dough Bakehouse.

Located in Herne Hill (south London), Dough Bakehouse was first launched in 2018 by Carine Lepore and recently debuted a new vegan range. Lord Sugar's new expansion hopes to compete with high street rivals and the brand announced the launch of a second Dough Bakehouse location in Beckenham shortly, with two more locations to follow by 2021.

“Carina and I are delighted that Dough Bakehouse continues to go from strength to strength. We’re really looking forward to opening new premises in the near future […] especially with the constant evolution of new products, such as the great tasting new vegan range,” said Sugar.
