Boston-based architecture and interior design firm CBT is responsible for the redesign of the 'Donovan House Hotel,' a Kimpton Hotel located in Washington, D.C. The design was intended to better accommodate clients traveling on business.
The rooms feature a grey-and-purple color palette accented with new minimalist decor, such as a wraparound leather headboard and a faux crocodile bench. Each room is also newly equipped with five-foot desks finished in a dark oak, ergonomic work chairs and Humanscale Horizon LED task lights, an accessory which is part of MoMA's permanent collection.
Finally, travelers can get a good nights rest in a canopy bed dressed in the hotel's signature Frette sheets. That is, if the new 55-inch inset televisions don't distract them.
