You may not think about how much man's best friend helps out in war, but this gallery titled The Dogs of War - A Tribute to the Military Working Dog reminds us just how helpful canines can be for the troops.

"The dogs are a welcome addition to the team during deployment – the sight of a friendly canine face makes military personnel happier," says Socyberty. "Dogs are generally welcomed on missions – as not only do they protect the troops but they bring enjoyment to the serving men and women."
