Hidisc's 'Type-C HDMI Mirroring Cable' gives Nintendo Switch 2 owners a way to run the console on a TV without bringing the original dock. Built for players who travel with their systems, it also works with the original Switch and other USB-C video-out devices.
Video output tops out at 4K at 60 Hz. A second USB-C port can draw up to 100 W from a compatible Power Delivery charger and pass through up to 85 W, with no extra software or drivers required. Switch 2 support has not yet been verified by the manufacturer, and the 4K ceiling is a maximum output figure, not a promise for every game.
In Japan, it is due in October 2026 through Amazon, Rakuten, and selected retailers at ¥1,980. That price undercuts the need to buy or pack a dock for hotel-room play and widens the appeal of travel accessories for the Switch platform.
