A few days ago, Disney announced that it will be releasing a live action movie called 'Descendants,' on the Disney kids of villains.
The movie will star the teenaged son of Belle and the Beast, a royal who is set to take the throne. For his first move as king, the teen will offer a chance for the mischievous offspring of Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Jafar and the Evil Queen to redeem themselves. Of course the teens have a bit of bad in their blood and will be faced with the classic conundrum of good vs evil.
Casting for Descendants is underway and it is set for production in the spring and a release in 2015 on The Disney Channel. The children of Disney characters are a popular subject of Disney fan art and it will be interesting to see Disney’s take on how the youth will turn out.
