7-Eleven Sweden started to implement digital menu boards in order to engage its customers. The new digital menu boards were the result of 7-Eleven's work with a digital signage company, name visual Art. Visual Art is able to use the software it developed, and combine it with the Samsung Tizen player. This enables the digital menu boards to change based on the time of day, which can correspond to what customers are more likely to purchase at a given time.
Amanda Mompalo de Piro, the marketing director for Retail Convenience at 7-Eleven Sweden, spoke about how the digital menu boards can help drive sales, "Each campaign shall drive sales but depending on product and offer, 7-Eleven can reach customers in different ways through communication. These signs shall get the customer to make the purchase decision by the shelves."
7-Eleven Sweden is also implementing single displays, which are located throughout a store. All of the single displays work collectively to guide a customer to the point-of-sale.
