Adaptive Lounge Chairs

The Diffrient Lounge Integrates Comfort with Workspace Functionality

The Diffrient Lounge is a premium seating system from Humanscale that combines lounge seating with integrated workspace features for contemporary living and working environments. Originally conceived more than two decades ago, the chair incorporates the company's Dynamic Comfort mechanism, allowing the backrest and headrest to move together through motorized adjustments that support multiple sitting and reclining positions. The design is intended to accommodate activities ranging from focused work to reading and relaxation while maintaining ergonomic support.

An integrated worksurface pivots into position for laptops, tablets or notebooks and retracts when not in use, while built-in USB-C ports provide up to 140W charging for laptops and 30W for smaller devices. Available in a wide selection of upholstery, wood and laminate finishes, the chair can be configured for residential, hospitality and workplace settings.
