The conceptual 'Dialogue Clock' has been designed by Evgenia Dymkina as an unorthodox approach to keeping time that instantly transforms an otherwise ordinary decor item into a modern focal point. Featuring two faces instead of one, the clock segregates the hour and minute hands to their own faces to create a dual-orb design. This requires inhabitants in a space to tell time in a different manner and transform the experience into a small event that takes a moment or two to decipher.
The conceptual 'Dialogue Clock' is free from arrows and traditional hands on the faces of the clock, and utilizes a monochromatic design that creates visual intrigue to suit placement in a home or office.
Dymkina explained the inspiration behind the clock to Yanko Design saying, "Nowadays is time of changes. The simplicity is the main value. Our kids will not write, just talk. They will not read, mostly hear. Do we really expect them to read time by arrows? However, one of our objectives as designers is to create something humane, which invites people to talk to each other, to be in a dialogue."
