The Conceptual 'Kehai' Clock by Makoto Koizumi Has a Zen Design

— June 30, 2022 — Art & Design
Clocks and timepieces are essential for keeping time but can also be a source of stress for many with busy schedules, which is something the conceptual 'Kehai' clock is designed to help change.

Designed by Makoto Koizumi, the clock features a minute and hour hand hidden behind a frosted glass front to almost obscure them from view. This enables the time to be seen, but only upon closer inspection to prevent a person from being stressed out. The second hand, however, comes in the form of a red dot that rotates overtop of the frosted front to encourage the onlooker to remember that every second counts.

The conceptual 'Kehai' clock takes a Zen-inspired approach to decor design and would look right at home within a modern office or apartment.
