VR Fashion Shows

The 'Democratic Front Row' App Mimics the Fashion Week Experience

'Democratic Front Row' is a new VR app that recreates the feeling of sitting front row at a fashion show. Although many consumers are interested in fashion, actually attending a runway event is a highly exclusive affair. This app makes the experience more accessible to the ordinary person through the use of virtual reality.

Democratic Front Row is a new app that was developed as part of a partnership between Tele2 and Stockholm Fashion Week. In order to get content for the app, several robots equipped with VR cameras were installed front row at different events. Consumers were then able to use the Democratic Front Row app in conjunction with a VR viewer such as Google Cardboard to view the show. Consumers were even able to 'like' certain outfits, which caused the robot viewers to light up.

The technology ultimately helps to break down some of the barriers that may prevent consumers from having certain experiences.
