The Ross & Squibb Distillery Supports Deep-Water Well Projects in Kenya

American spirits producer Ross & Squibb Distillery has publicized the outcomes of its ongoing philanthropic collaboration with the Chris Long Foundation's Waterboys initiative and highlighted the completion of two deep-water well projects in Kenya during 2023 and 2024.

The deep-water well installations were constructed by the regional organization Well Aware and are reported to have provided a reliable water source for over 3,600 individuals in the Oloile and Kahuho communities. Documented secondary benefits of this clean water project include a reduction in waterborne illnesses, increased school attendance, and the establishment of new agricultural projects.

Ross & Squibb Distillery frames its partnership with the Chris Long Foundation as an expression of gratitude for its own longstanding access to a pristine aquifer in Indiana, and has announced its intention to fund a third well project at a location yet to be determined.
