Architect David Adjaye designed a major project that will realize 111 hospitals across Ghana. The 'Agenda 111' project plans to transform Ghana's medical system by establishing 101 district hospitals, two psychiatric hospitals, seven regional hospitals, and redeveloping an existing psychiatric hospital.
The architect celebrates the design of the first district hospital located in Ghana's Ashanti region. This hospital will provide unparalleled healthcare facilities. The design concept blends modern-day technology with a holistic approach. The district hospital consists of a single-story structure. It is completed with a canopied entrance and a series of vertical and horizontal wings. The building branches out from the central entrance and it is completed with a landscaped central courtyard.
