Starbucks recently announced that it will now offer almond milk as a dairy-free option. While the chain has served soy milk for quite some time, the addition of almond milk to the Starbucks menu demonstrates the growing demand for more dairy-free choices.
The new dairy-free option will be available at more than 4,600 Starbucks locations nation-wide. Almond milk will first be offered in the Pacific Northwest and will eventually be in all Starbucks locations by September. Unlike other coffee shops that offer almond milk, Starbucks will serve its own recipe, which was specially created by the chain to deliver the perfect amount of foam when steamed.
With a growing number of consumers reducing their consumption of dairy, the new nut milk option is likely to be in high demand.
