For one day only, all of the net proceeds of 'Dairy Queen Blizzards' will go to support the Children's Miracle Network.
On 'Miracle Treat Day,' Dairy Queen will donate all of the net proceeds from its famous ice cream Blizzards to support Canadian children's hospitals. This promotion has been running since 2006, and in 2016, the event raised more than $4,000,000 for the Children's Miracle Network. Since partnering with the CMN in 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $125 in donations from fans and franchisees. This money goes to help support children who find themselves in a CMN hospital.
Charitable promotions like this one for Dairy Queen Blizzards have the dual purpose of generating awareness and funds for a worthy cause, while also working to promote a socially conscious brand image.
