This cottage-style Czech school provides an inspiring and idyllic view of a forward-thinking learning environment unbound by contemporary design schemes. Located within a historical community, the kindergarten offers its 30 students a quaint view of its surrounding gardens as well as the nearby riverbed. The kindergarten space was built on a vacant lot and was conceived around the historical concept of vernacular architecture.
Located within the Czech village of Dobrin, the school's design is inspired by the earthy character of a classic country house while reflecting the traditional architecture in the area. Overall, the small cottage-style kindergarten is meant to represent children's fairy tales and aims to create an educational environment characterized by design elements that speak to them and encourage their creativity, growth and development.
