This Tie-Dye Cupcake Icing Looks Like a Rainbow

If you want to seriously kick up your cupcake icing game, this trippy technicolor icing trick is a really neat way to tie-dye your icing.

The trick to creating tie-dye icing is to put the food color dye in the pipping bag first rather than mixing it into vanilla icing. Begin by placing your pipping bag in a tall glass so that it doesn't shake when you drop your colors in. Then add a good-sized drop of blue, red, orange, yellow and green dye in separate corners of the bag. Then you can add the vanilla icing. By adding the icing last, the colors will mix separately with the icing but come out collectively as you pipe it onto the cupcake.

The result is a one-of-a-kind tie-dye vanilla icing that you can creatively apply however you like. Simply let your psychedelic baking skills run wild.
